that scope has 85 MOA of elevation adjustment, so I would say it is highly unlikely you will need a slanted scope base for that distance.

 

+1. My scope elevation spec is 40 MOA and is fine out to 100 meters w/o any rail or assistance of any kind. I believe scope elevation of 40 MOA, would be minimum spec, IMO.

 

No, you should be OK with the stock mount/rail. On a centerfire rifle a 20 MOA rail and 85 MOA of adjustment should get you out past 800 yards.

I have that scope on a CZ455 and the 0 MOA rail from DIP works fine. The scope has plenty of adjustment range remaining in both planes. And it is a Tactical scope, too, so there is no shortage of holdover and windage toys in the reticle Happy shooting!

After you zero your scope at 25 yards or 23 meters. You will only need 2.1 mils adjustment to reach 100 meters. The zero base is plenty.

What kinds of 22 LR ammo do you have available to you? I believe most CZ 457 rifles are tested with RWS ammo of some type. However, as with all barrels you should test various types to determine which one provides the best accuracy for your particular rifle.

I do have the 16.5" model and have a Brügger & Thomet suppressor attached but may change it against a A-Tec CMM.
Beeing a hunter and owning a couple of higher class german built rifles I'm very happy about the built quality. The wood is very nice and the built quality of the bolt also.
I really like the wooden stock but probably have to buy another CZ for an aftermarket stock such as MDT.

Waiting for the Warne rings to mount the scope now.

For a firearm guy like me Germany is not the best place to be (we only have about 1 Million people holding a license) but I have the privilege holding a hunting, sporting and collectors license so I'm not really limited in what I can buy.
In ammunition we have a great selection, all the European brands as RWS, Lapua, Geco, SK and so on and also the big American brands like CCI, Federal and Winchester are available. That means a lot of ammo testing has to he done.

I'll attach some photos but right now we have a lockdown in Germany and unfortunately we are only allowed to go shooting at gun ranges so testing ammo for the best groups will take some more weeks. I wish I could shoot in the backyard but here we would most likely go to prison for that.
Will add some more photos once the rifle is complete.

Both my 455 American and My 457 ProVarmint like the RWS Rifle Match and RWS Special Match. I lucked out and the both shoot the same lots of each very very well. Both the 455 and 457 are wearing the 16.5” barrel.

 

Beautiful rifle you have there. Welcome to the forum. Lots of great people and useful information. I’m unable to shoot here also. Target shooting was my stress reliever, and I really need it now.

Sounds good with 60 MOA. The Regular Diamond Back has a parallax of 100 yards out to infinity.

The Diamond Back EAGLE, 85 MOA with parallax of 20 yards to infinity, might be a better fit?
