I have a 457 scout that I really like but I don't shoot. I would like to send the barrel off and have it rechabered in 22WMR. does anyone know a good gunsmith that would do this. I don't want to buy a new barrel. I don't want to buy a new stock.

This thread has me thinking, I might just rechamber a 22LR barrel to to 22 magnum . I’ve been known to do unconventional things in the past. My first 223 bolt action was a Remington 700 that started life as a 222 magnum. I shortened it one full thread and ran a 223 chambering reamer in it . That worked out rather well . I’ve got an extra CZ 22 barrel, and my friend has reamer I could borrow , decisions need to be made.;):)
