Ok, if you are like me, you own more than one CZ. Or maybe not, and you're just wanting one.

We'll keep it polite. You don't need to brag about how many CZs you already have, but how about sharing what CZ is causing the most amount of "itch" for you?

I'll start it out by saying that I'm torn between two CZ desires right now. I want to buy a Trainer and put it into a Denny CZ stock, and second to that, a Full Stock in 22WMR.

Whew, letting that out makes me feel better -- for just a moment. :D

Amen brotha...I mean fellow Brno/CZ addict...I mean fellow wood junky.

At this stage of my affliction, a FS with really, really good wood in either .22lr or .22wmr
You and me both Gerald.

I'd love to simply get an American as I bought a lux and put a scope on it, but I want to take the scope off of it and use it as an iron sights rifle, and get an american to put my purty new scope on it. then I'll have a .22 for scope stuff and for iron stuff, then I should be satisfied...right? RIGHT?

At this stage of my affliction, a FS with really, really good wood in either .22lr or .22wmr would be about the only real temptation to me. I'm jaded I suppose. My poor old FS is accumulating battle scars at a steady pace, she's my pet but I need a "Barbeque gun" as they call their Fancy dress pistolas down in Texas.:D

Next, an Ultra Lux - beech stock, 28" barrel, gold features! Itttttching for it! Got an American 2 yrs ago, scoped it, then in March got a Lux. Main purpose of all are squirrel rifles, and the American has yet to miss when I've done my part, it's awesome! Got the Lux to fill an itch for a Iron sight hunting rifle, and haven't hunted it yet, coming soon, but I absolutely love shooting this rifle, just pure fun & accuracy & the trigger was great OoBox! I won't scope for fear it'll outshoot my american and I'll be tempted to keep it this way. I've shocked myself at the groups it's shot with my old eyes. After the Ultra I might consider a FS?:D Just not interested in the Varmint, not my kind! But believe the Ultra will be the "Ultimate modern day Ky. Long (squirrel) rifle!:bthumb:

+ 1 for the Ultra Lux, I've got an American .22rf now with scope and love It. But would like to have an iron sight cz. It's got to have a long barrel, I got old eyes to.

I was waiting on a CZ 527 in .221 Fireball but I couldn't pass up this deal so I grabbed it. http://www.auctionarms.com/Closed/DisplayItem.cfm?ItemNum=9235834.0

With that though, still waiting for a .221 Fireball or a .222 Remington.

I think I'm covered for Varmints unless I grab a .17HMR. But I do have one of those in a FS which is just a sweet gun.

In a few years, I want a Kadet for Jr. ;)

WOW!!! What a deal you got!

I'm new to CZs. Just got my first (527 FS .223) a month ago.

But I have the bug BAD!

The itch that is bothering me most right now is the 550 FS 30-06 I have on layaway.

But the disease is FULL BLOWN! Once the 30-06 is paid for I really, REALLY need a 452 FS .22LR! And whats this about it being available in curly maple? Is this fact or a figment of an earlier poster's desire?

But there is my list for the balance of '09.

Will, assuming it's a blued/walnut combination, and stock, you ought to be able to trade 1 for 1 on the two guns. It's not what your 77/22 is worth, but the gunshop will want to give you only 80% of the real value so THEY can make money on it.

That's a tough choice. I love my 77/22, but I only have one of them. They are a fine rifle, but the CZ will outshoot it.

Okay, this is a good question. One day I hope to get a few Czechs together and these are a couple on the short list before I start to get serious. I just gotta get these before the others.

Rimfire only

  • 453 premium walnut fluted 22 LR
  • 453 classic 17 HMR
  • 452 super match 22 LR
  • 452 style 17 HMR 16" threaded
  • 452 Silhouette 17 HMR
  • 452 Varmint nickel 17 HMR
  • 452 FS 17 HMR
  • 452 Varmint Nickel fluted 22 LR
  • 452 American 16" barrel
  • 452 Pink scout
  • 513 22 LR
  • 452 Varmint 17 M2
  • 452 FS 22 Mag
So those are some of the more urgent rimfires. Of course there are far more centrefire on the list than that and then even more handguns. The combination Brnos also appeal but I'm less likely to use them so they'll have to wait a while. As I go along I'll refine the collection with whatever old world Brnos show up as well.

Gosh there are just so many to look forward to.
