Wildcat .22LR - need recommendation for cheek riser/comb for better cheek meld for 8 YR old

8yr old daughter shooting a Winchester Wildcat .22lr and with a red dot optic on the top, she cant meld her cheek against the stock. I was thinking a riser 1" or so would be helpful until she grows older/bigger.

What recommendations do you have? Thank you!

My daughter had the same issues with her Savage Rascal. I bought some styrofoam pile insulating tubes, similar to pool noodles only smaller. I get a few sizes and slipped them over the stock until we obtained the correct combination for height. Then just taped them in place with electrical tape. No very pretty, but cheap and works great. Her shooting ability, and mine with that rifle really improved due to the good cheek weld. That little rifle is a shooter too! I hope this helps if even temporarily.

Pool noodles and pipe insulation: stack them until you find the right height, then wrap with Vet Wrap (a ruberized stretch bandage that is most commonly found in feed stores, Tractor Supply, and even Walmart (in the weight lifting section). I generally use the black color but other colors are available. If you really want to get fancy, wrap it with a size small elbow sleeve from Academy.
