Messages have been floating around that Vudoo has closed its doors. Anyone have any news?

Tried to make an order on Friday and the website would not process it.

Direct from Vudoo Gunworks

”Good morning everyone. Lots of crazy rumors rolling around this morning. We are moving Vudoo to Oklahoma. Utah was no longer viable and the lease was coming up with no renewal. We are planning on being back in production in 4 weeks or so.”

That's too bad. I know they went through some changes over the years. But I have three great rifles from them that are as accurate as anything and overbuilt to a ridiculous degree. I will be shooting them for years to come. I liked the idea of an American innovation in this format.

Yeah, I am shooting mine a minimum of 300 rounds a week, sometimes more. Using it in weekly matches and every Saturday for the monthly matches. 🤞

I think the business model changed a lot since I first looked at them about 4-5 years ago. I think when you could have it about any way you wanted, it was more interesting to the folks with the desire to have a made to order custom rifle with the support and warranty of a big company. As they went to more of a standardization in offerings, folks looked more to custom gun builders, limiting the action sales to one custom builder the costs went up.

In recent times they seem to have focused more on their line of handguns. So it’s anybody’s guess where the problem started.

They are definitely dropping the ball on customer service here. There are some vendors that have said they're confident they'll be back up and running, but this isn't a good look if they're really trying to keep the business going. The back story to what has gone down over the last year and a half doesn't make it sound promising.

If it were me I would start looking into legal action but would wait to see how this unfolds. No good to drop money with a lawyer if Vudoo just turns around in a month and fulfills all their orders. I don't know if that will happen, but a $1-2k deposit isn't worth filing suit over immediately. Also, if an investment company is involved, chances are they have all their bases covered legally to where they can screw customers if they really want to.

I’ve been attempting to contact someone (anyone) at Vudoo regarding ordering a chassis rifle. I’ve called their number twice a day for a week and have sent an email daily for a week without any success in making contact. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is there a better or alternative way to contact them. I’m hesitant to do business with a company that disregards their customers. If potential purchasers of $4000+ items are ignored at point of purchase, how can one expect to be regarded if a problem arises with that product?
