What would you buy? Have a friend looking at the Strike eagle 5-25x56 and the Viper hd 5-25x50. He just bought a Anschutz 1710 chassis rifle for fun and maybe prs down the road. Thanks 🙏

I'm not sure about that anymore. Leupold has cheapened up all but their best lines of optics, while Vortex is constantly improving. If you try to buy a high powered scope from Leupold you will be spending at least double. I have had to call on customer service from both companies, and both knocked it out of the park.

I have (2) Vortex Venom 5-25x56 scopes (among others). One on a Tikka ultralight 7 Rem mag, and one on a Savage 112 .338 Lapua. They have been beyond solid, the glass is clear enough to go to a mile, both repeatedly track/pass box tests perfectly, and have been flawless. For $500, I think they are the best deal out there.
