The Mini Mamba upper is on my short list. I want one of those SOOO bad.

 

I got one of the take off Mark iv uppers from VQ clearance section....They cut it back to 3 1/2" and thread it... And the one I got they actually cerekote flat black Great for the suppressor for sure..

 

I also purchased one of those clearance Mark IV barrels. It was very affordable. And while it works just fine with a red dot, I often wish it had sights simply because I'm not the biggest fan of the red dot sight systems on pistols.

Perhaps I'll get used to the red dot with time. I'm not sure how I would like open sights with such a short sight radius anyway...

Edit to add: That short 3 1/2" barrel is considerably louder than my pistols that are 5" and longer. That short barrel really barks without a suppressor.

Yes, I know what you mean. I had flirted with the idea of getting the front tapped for a sight and sliding a rear in because I like iron sights as well… Decided just to run it as my dedicated red dot upper though… I really like it.It almost fills the need for the Mini Mamba I've been drooling over for a while....almost
