I recently purchased the KRG and couldn't be happier .I like it more than my Magpul stock. There is an aluminium bedding plate that works very well and I like the rear tang super solid. The Arca rail gives it just that much more versatility .I would've thought the stock would have been a lot more popular. Each to their own I guess but I do recommend the stock. As for the Titan stock it definitely did not work out for me the barrel canted the action was sea sawing even with the exact same set up that I have in my KRG go figure. Target was 60 yds. with Lapua Midas + 5 shot groups.

Thanks for your work! I am getting a new 10/22 and I have a chassis on my other 22 that works well. I am reading as much as I can on chassis/stocks for the 10/22.

I was initially looking at the Victor stock, but the length of pull wasn't gonna work for me (too long). The two contenders now are the x22 and the KRG. Most of my shooting is bench or prone at 100y. I'm also ok with sticking with the "stock" stock for now with a cheek riser lol.

I was also looking at getting a Boyd pro varmint stock. I had one on my cz 457 for a while and it was nice. At the same time, I'll be disappointed if its a wobbly stock. I know they don't have pillars and might need bedding. TBH, I'm just looking for a plug and play option. A Boyds is too much of a crap shoot, and I've read some less than stellar comments about their customer service department.

Any other suggestions for chassis/stocks anyone?

I have had both the Titan and the Magpul, and neither were the quality of the KRG Bravo my Kidd/Lilja 10/22 is currently in. Between the two of them, however, the Magpul was hands down the better of the Titan. The Titan had terrible ergonomics and was not as well made as the Magpul. The KRG is perfect IMO.

I have had about every stock made for the 10/22 over the years and among others I have a Titan and Bravo. Bravo is still in mockups as it's a odd build out but have "played" with it. I do appreciate the Titan and have Major's old PWS Summit with a KIDD barrel in it. The Bravo is getting another PWS Summit but also has a custom KIDD style rear tang and Jard 1lbs trigger. It will get a VQ 17hm2 barrel till the internally suppressed barrel passes ATF.

I like both and will keep both as of now. I really only have one grip with both, a little slick. I'm going to reach out to a gun grip wrap company about fixing this on both.

LOL - Forgot where that Summit Action ended up.

Probably a lot of opinions on this, but this is at least my top three picks.

Hope this might help highlight a few key features of the stocks.

Back at the 10/22 builds again now that ammo is short. Had a beaver hunt a few weeks ago with my MDT rig. Awesome fun.

Thanks for the write up. Always love your articles.

Glad to see you're still doing them.

Tltan stock rocking? I went with the VQ action screw with my Feddersen receiver and barrel in the Titan stock. The VQ action screw is a bit shorter in length, and Titan recommends an action screw no longer than 22mm. The VQ action screw fills the bill, and no rocking. Just wish I could afford to shoot Eley Match all the time! Ha! Best of luck...... :t

All about the options...

You didn't include Tony's (Kidd) chassis in the mix. Truth be told, if he'd make the forend longer (like the KRG Bravo) it would be perfection. Fit & finish when using his receiver and other bits are as good as it gets. For me at least..

Kidd chassis build with Anarchy Outdoors Penguin grip. Unreal, I love the grip a bunch.

But, I drank the Kool-aid and jumped on a KRG Bravo. Just fit the action yesterday, still need the correct rear tang as my unit for the Kidd chassis didn't fit. And yes, KRG should include the fastener for said rear tang. KRG, are you listening? Please. Also waiting on the "heavy" Arca-swiss rail to come in stock. Need that too.

Had to Dremel a bit for the trigger group to function. It's an older Kidd unit that I've had for years. Newer units might work straight out of the box, mine didn't. No big deal.

Also took deliver of the Bushnell Match Pro 6-24x50. I'm going to give this one a go, if it's not what I want the Arken SH4 6-24x50 Gen II will get ordered. And then we need to get Warne 34mm rings... never ends.

Enjoy
