Standard TX22 model 1-TX22241, no manual safety, Lakeline LLC barrel and hardened steel striker, recoil spring assembly from stainlesssteelguiderods.com (now apparently out of business)

240 rounds of Remington Bucket of Bullets today, not one malfunction. Every single round fed, fired and ejected perfectly. Able to reload mags at almost one round/second with the factory loader. One of the most reliable pistols I've ever owned.

I bought the Lakeline Barrel because the factory ones have bad chattering and lead up quite easily which of course affects accuracy. Taurus kept sending me replacement barrels that were also chattered. This Lakeline barrel does not lead up at all and is very accurate, I'm extremely glad I upgraded. Locks down tighter into the frame tabs. Much higher quality than the Taurus factory barrel. I bought the non-threaded version from Lakeline but they also offer a threaded version for shooters who want to use a suppressor.

I replaced the original factory striker with the hardened steel striker from Lakeline so there's no chance of it breaking. Purely optional to do this but it gives me peace of mind.

Because the sharp front edge of the factory recoil spring digs into the slide, I bought this capped recoil spring assembly online from stainless steel guide rods some years back when I got my first TX22 but I never really used it until now. I also use the TX22 Recoil Spring Washer (Ebay) on my original Taurus factory recoil springs to stop any damage to the slide.

I like mine, they are very reliable, being factory barreled they aren’t super accurate. I have had 2 barrels replaced, they still are borderline. But they serve the plinker and wife’s home defense role pretty well.

I didn’t know there were aftermarket barrels available. Did it help the accuracy?
