This is a one-time posting of the link to the Publisher's website where the book "The Winchester Model 75 - Diversity in Design" is now available. :yippee:

https://www.rimfirepublications.com/

A big thanks to RFC for allowing the link to be posted here. :bthumb:

Some of the frequently asked questions are:

- Will they be available directly from JWA (me)? - No, sorry. They are currently only available directly from the publisher's website at this time. Please do not contact me directly as I have none to sell or ship, they are only available from the publisher.

- Will they combine shipping? - Yes! It is the same low flat rate for all of the books on the same order.

- Can I get a signed copy? - Yes! Just check the box "signed by author" and that will get you a hand-signed (my initials) copy.

- Can I get a specific edition # to match my previous Model 69 book? - That is a possibility! Just enter your previous Model 69 book number in the box when ordering and they will dig it out of the stack (If it has not already been sold). There is no guarantee your number can be matched but it is worth a try. This free service will only be offered for the first few hundred books.

- Are there going to be more books in this Winchester bolt-action series? - Yes! at least 2 more, covering the Models 56/57 and the Model 72/72A. Keep watching RimfireCentral.com in the future for any news on upcoming information.

- Is RimfireCentral.com the best place to get information on all things .22 rim fire related? YES! RFC has the best group of friendly, generous and knowledgeable people on the web!

Best Regards,

I truly appreciate that! The website had a small glitch and by the time it got fixed (approximately 5 minutes) the first 20 books got free shipping. I guess it pays to be the early bird sometimes.

Please let me know if anyone else notices any glitches because I can't see it from my end.

Best Regards,

Bill,

I appreciate the kind offer but I appreciate your early order even better. You were the very first person to order the previous Model 69 book and 1 of the first 20 to order the 75 book. That loyalty should be rewarded ;-)

Also, I have bought items from you in the past and you have always given me very fair prices which I appreciated (I am still enjoying your .22 1885 Sporting Rifle!)

Now that I have fixed the glitch I will charge you shipping on the next book though. :)

Best Regards,

PS; I sent the first 100 book orders via USPS Priority Mail so they should be showing up on doorsteps in the next couple of days.

Jeff, great job on the book. It has been extremely useful for me. I have a Winchester 75 serial number 11407. That has the original box showing the rifle was shipped from Letterkenny Arsenal in 1967 to an individual, the Stock has a faint, AAU on the left side and a P cartouche under the trigger guard. That serial number appears earlier than the ones mentioned in your book?

your earlier book was very useful for me as I have a CSG 69a number 273 and it was interesting to know the history of it.

Thanks for the compliments on the 75 book!

The serial number range for the G7505R was intentionally left a little vague in the book with this statement; "The bulk of the U.S. training rifle serial numbers fall between 18,000 and 45,365". The reason for the "bulk" wordage and not a definitive "all" statement is because of the commercial rifles that were supplied from the warehouse as part of the last orders. These were various earlier numbers that encompassed a large range of serials from 1939-1941, and possibly a small few even earlier.

Your rifle was serialized in mid-1939 so while it does not fall within the majority of the numbers it is still in the ballpark, and based upon the other evidence with the rifle it is likely correct and probably one of those commercial versions that were purchased. What sights does it currently have?

Best Regards,
