Hello,

I would like to get a suppressor for a CZ 457 Provarmint suppressor ready weapon.

What would yall suggest as a good suppressor?

Thank you for your input.

I own 2 rimfire suppressors...a Tactical Solutions Axiom and a Dead Air Mask HD. They're both effective, light and handy. The Mask is known for better eliminating first round pop. Through my limited testing, I think I get slightly better groups with the Axiom.

I have a CZ 457 Varmint that I had cut, crowned and threaded.

What are you going to do with the rifle? For hunting, I prefer lightweight and have an AB Suppressors Little Bird. Under 3 oz and under 1 in diameter just disappears on the barrel. Shooting targets off the bench, I have a SilencerCo Switchback. 4 different combinations in one suppressor and seems to have no effect on accuracy.

My 1st 22RF suppressor purchase was a SWR Spectre II that I bought mainly to use on CZ457 American & VPT, both of which have custom Shilen ratchet select match bbls. But since I'm a long-time TBAC fan, a year or so later, I bought a 22TD. I think the 22TD has less 1st round pop, but to tell the truth, you just about have to be shooting them both side-by-side - either indoors or on an outdoor range with opposing walls - for that first round pop to be very obvious. I was shooting the 22TD on several of my V22 repeaters, but not during match use, as both these suppressors cause slightly larger groups.

I have a Mask Hd and it has been a great little suppressor however, I am kind of OCD about cleaning things and the suppressor gets cleaned after every shoot. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, sometimes longer. I wet down the internals before shooting with Ballistol. So to my point, every time I remove the suppressor I have to re-zero the scope to the new point of impact. I believe it is the orientation of the baffles in the tube. Supposedly, the Thunder Beast Takedown 22 does not have a shift like the Mask HD and so the Thunder Beast is on my short list of needs. Good luck.

HammerTech, do you have baffle rattle as some have had?

lso,it's being aluminum what is wear rate of sewing and un-screwing
the 4 baffles for cleaning.
No rattles with mine. I used hi-temp silicone grease on all the baffles when It was new and grease them again after every cleaning and I've seen no wear so far. Baffles are always aligned the same when I take it apart so nothing is floating around in there.

I hate you….🤣

I filed March 29 on a Silencerco Velos LBP 5.56….still nothing.😡

I mean, it was ten months on the Hybrid….but it’s frustrating when so many are fast, and I’m seemingly lost in a pile on the slow guy’s desk who apparently took a leave of absence or paternity leave, or something.

I have a Mask and a Sparrow. The Mask is not only much quieter but reduces the first round pop considerably. However on my Vudoo it does open up the groups more than the sparrow or shooting unsuppressed. On my Bergara's I can't tell a difference between the Mask and the Sparrow except by noise.
