Not a bad-looking gun! That’s a pretty serious punch pin kiss behind the pin in front of the trigger housing. Somebody definitely got a little rough with it, but looks like it has a good home now😎

 

It’s not mine. My neighbor dug it out of his shed , and asked me about it. I’ll shot it in a few days and see if it works.

Nothing fancy about the piece, made of pot metal but still a fairly heavy unit.

I had the suitcase version of it for a while, parted with it a month or so back.

 

Friend of mine has one of those. I helped him fix it when he first got it 10 years ago. I don't remember much details about it, but he will. I'll ask him later tonight and see what he has to say.

 

He just texted me back, says good luck finding mags. He almost bought a whole other rifle just to have a spare mag.

How do I get my bolt out of the Sovereign 84 takedown?

 

Anyone interested, removing the bolt on a Sovereign 84. You must remove the trigger assembly, locate the recessed pin on rifle, tap it out and your bolt will slide out. Watch the spring, it may be difficult to reassemble. I used 2 screwdrivers to help guide it in, then screw in the bolt handle. Pretty easy.
