I've taken them off to refinish. Yes, just slide a screwdriver/punch through and unscrew counter clock wise.

Just a little FYI, the front 2 swivel studs on a B-14R stock are installed in metal inserts and they are the same thread pitch as the screws that come with an AREA 419 ARCA Rail.

 

I take all of mine off to keep from interfering with the bags

Any ideas on what can be done to take them off of a wooden stock and then protect the wood from splintering after they are removed? I would like it to be something that I could switch back and forth on as there are times that I would like to use the sling.
