Happy Easter first of all.
There's an old timer in my Bullseye that is looking to sell his Scorpion. I've loved Ruger MK's for the last 30 years and have owned several and tricked them out however, I jumped at the chance to buy his Scorpion. He wanted $650 but he's retired and I'm still working so I upped the price to $700 to keep the gun Karma clean.
For my cleaning question, I just ran across a video on Youtube with a guy saying that it takes him 2 hours to clean his VQ due to the heavy lead buildup in the VQ deep rifling. Is this so or is this gent a bit OCD?
How often do you folks clean your Scorpions and how long does it take? This gent on th video said he sold his VQ due to this. My normal gun cleaning is a quick shot of brake cleaner, a quick pull of a snake and a wipedown with Ballistol.
Thanks in advance for your input
