Larry Smart in central Missouri has done some in the past. I don't know if he still does, but it might be worth a try. I do know he does excellent gunsmithing work.

I have sent an e-mail trying to get the contact info for Larry Smart. It may take a couple of days to get a response, so please check back here. I think he is in (or near) Jefferson City, MO. He moved since I last worked with him. Hopefully, I can get an answer for you soon, and that he is still interested in tackling that project, I know he has done it in the past. Care to share that information? I tried to have this conversion done years ago, and couldnt find anyone. That was shortly after EAD quite doing it and started making their own actions.

Johnson's use to have a guy named Steve who did them, I believe the price was around $350.00 and this was w/ relining the barrel. Zack must be the new guy who replaced him. Steve intoduced me to him as his replacement last time I was there. I believe Steve went to one of the high end gun manufacturers to work.

Back to the Ruger No 1, 22 LR conversion. Larry recommended a close friend of his that specializes in a variety of single shot rifles, and top of the line restoration work on vintage single shots. I can vouch for the quality of Curt's work as well, as I had him do a vent rib modification to my S&W Model 41, 22LR, 5.5" barrel back in the 1980's. Pics. of that work have been posted previously in the S&W portion of this forum, if you want to go back and look.
