I didn’t buy a ready rifle. But I do have the barrel and the stock on the way. Since this is NOT a Match rifle , but a Target rifle. What do y’all say that the accuracy would have to be so it would be considered a top carbon fiber barrel ? what distance ? I will be using my own ruger receiver , bx trigger etc. If you have a different brand carbon fiber barrel 10/22 , What are you getting as far as accuracy. I go by the
old RFC rule, No Pic it didn’t happen. I’ll post as soon as all parts come in and it is ready.

You may have to dig for those pictures. Try searching for target pictures in threads about these replacement barrels:
Beyer Barrels
KSA
Magnum Research
Proof Research
Summit Precision
Volquartsen

@Kfxguy has made multiple carbon fiber tension barrels and posted target pictures.

Then there are carbon fiber performance 10/22 derivatives like
T/C Performance Center t/cr22 carbon
Bergara BXR

Ha! I just finished one up tonight. This is probably the most heavy duty one I’ve done. It weighs 20oz and I used a 2mm wall sleeve and everything fits tight. I did not shorten the chamber YET. My plans were to shoot it before and after and record the difference.
@ op, if you bought that factory ruger carbon barrel, I’m interested in seeing how it shoots. I’ve heard mixed things on the super expensive volquartson barrel and I e heard nothing on the summit barrels although they do look nice.

I considered a CF barrel for my Takedown Charger but the reviews I read convinced me to go in another direction. I wasn't disappointed in what I got... love it. But I hope you love what you get too. Following this.

Zeroed, functioned checked and very satisfied with accuracy. So temporary Trs-25 red dot until I find it’s permanent one. Scope back on its original . Once I zero and shoot it with red dot I’ll post pics.
Did you weigh it with the red dot?

Thanks. I figured it'd be light.

My factory model weighs 3.8 lbs. with TRS25 and a empty magazine so comparable.. that comes out to 3 lbs 13 ozs.

Haven't gotten mine out to shoot yet, I did pickup a Hawke 4x mildot scope to use maybe...gotta see if I get the accuracy I want from the red dot first. Silver receiver looks good with that barrel and stock. (y)

Mine did very well cci sv, Tac-22 accuracy was good but feeding was single shot. Went back to cci and no failures to feed. at 50 yds with cci I was still under an 1” With the occasional flyer. Having to get used to such a light rifle.

First addition On the way. A summit-precision ported muzzle comp. I know, I know but I like the looks.

That should help prevent any shoulder pocket bruising.

I'm on other forums and on one of them people complain about the bruising they get from a PCC chambered in 9mm. Seriously, I can't make this up.

But about your bruising, as you rightly understood, just kidding. I can understand it for looks.

Well I bit the bullet. But, on something else. I been checking s&p and they have been out of stock. I’ve really been wanting to see what the Kidd barrel hype is about and I got an email today that they were having a sale plus a coupon code for an additional 11% off. The silver barrel, ultralite threaded was a few bucks cheaper than the black but out of stock. ETA for shipping was 22-30 days. We all know how optics planet and shipping is….so in stock was the black one and I ordered it. $252 shipped plus tax. From Kidd the same barrel is $345 shipped plus tax. I guess you can say it was hard to pass up. Maybe later I’ll get one of these barrels. I still want one.

Just got my Ruger carbon fiber barrel in today and got it mounted. Also have the BX trigger group, BlackHawk Knoxx Axiom R/F stock, and a basic cheap red dot for now. Total weight is 3lbs 11.3oz (no mag). Stock barrel was 28.85oz, new Ruger CF barrel measured 16.5oz. Need to get it out to the range and see how it does. Balance feels very neutral.

(Pardon the messy work table, had some bike parts on it when I took pic)

I finally got to handle a Ruger Carbon Fiber at the range Monday, and I have to say I was impressed for the price. The MOE X is just what I was missing for my LW build from last year. So, it arrived yesterday. Swapped out the barrel tray for my Volquartsen CF barrel then went to slip in the receiver/barrel/trigger group. Took a few to get it in, very tight fit as others had stated. Next was to check for free float. Perfect! Big improvement ( fit & feel ) over my modified Ruger polymer stock.

BTY, if I were to do it all over again, I would go with the black & silver combo. Beautiful!
