Hi, My name is Phillip. I just upgraded my Ruger 10/22 that I have owned since year 2000 and now wanting to go out plinking/shooting. I am trying to find some new friends that are interested in Shooting the Ruger 10/22 and have fun doing it. Location Orange County CA. I only know of one outdoor shooting range "Angeles Shooting Range" located at 12651 Little Tujunga Canyon Rd, Sylmar, CA 91342. If you know any other please list other shooting ranges. Trying to Get at least 5-10 people to hangout with during the weekend when time is available. Or if there is a group of people already that meet up like a Ruger 10/22 club or something please send some info. I would be highly interested. Thank you.

My Ruger 10/22.

That looks like a piece of junk however, being the nice guy I am, I will let you send it to me to be lost in a boating accident.
all joking aside, that’s nice man!
I have a 10/22 that I am “in progress” with. Def like that stock.
I’m east coast so I can’t help with the friends but, wish you well and aim small miss small. Cheers.

Prado and Raahages are both in Corona, and they're ok options if you don't want to drive out to Angeles or Burro Canyon.

Route 66 isn't too bad either.

That's what I was thinkin' too.

If I ever get another 10/22 (I sold some to get to where I am #s wise) that stock looks nice and light and I like light. Looks like it folds too, another plus for me.

PhillipBP, who makes it?

Hi Philip, My name is Bill, I just joined the Rim Fire Central forum today and saw that you were also in Orange County Calif. I'm just starting to build a Bullpup 10/22 for plinking and looking for friends with similar interest. I'm in Anaheim Hills Ca off the 91 freeway and Weir Canyon off ramp. Get back to me if you'd like. I also have some questions about a barrel from Green Mountain that I'm looking at buying and wanted some input from guys that have already built rifles based on the 10/22.

this looks to develop into a fun thread.
Many of us live in other climate regions where the shooting is fun outdoors until frost and snow
descends. Then not so much, unless yer very hardy.
This is my 1022, quite modified by me.

I'm sticking with the factory barrel because I want my 1022 to be able to load and fire any and all
.22 ammunition that I can scrounge up for it. I value reliable function MUCH higher than ultimate accuracy.
With the mods I've done to my rifle, it's accurate enough to shoot 1 1/4 inch ten shot groups at fifty yards.
And that's good enough for me. So no 'precision chamber," but I learned enough 1022 tricks on this forum
that I don't need any such thing. I don't shoot competition. When the weather's nice, I shoot at this range:

The range is owned by a private club, and I'm not a member but they open the facility to public shooting
three days a week. Which I enjoy. I haven't joined up with a group yet, but that could happen.

Anyway, welcome to RFC you new guys, and let's see some more pictures. I like a squirrel target too.
I drew this one myself. Download and print it if you like it.
