I recently used up my supply of SK Standard Plus and started using some SK Pistol Match that I have. This morning when it was pretty much wind still I wanted to shoot a 10 shot group at 100 yards. It’s better than I ever did with Standard Plus but I don’t know if I could do it again. But I’ll take it!

Specs:
2” target
100 YDS
10 shots
Group size .82

Agreed. I bought a 457 VPC on sale a few years back. I wanted the 24" but all that was left was the 16" version. The price was too good to pass up so I ordered the 16" VPC. I also ordered a 20" MTR barrel with the intent of swapping it in as soon as the rifle arrived. Long story short, a quick test on the 16" barrel showed it routinely shot one hole groups at 50 yds! I ended up leaving that barrel on there for many months until a Lilja eventually replaced it. That 16" barrel now lives on my 457 THB (Thumbhole) and is never going anywhere!

I'm impressed by your group,,,
It gives me a standard to go against.

I have a CZ-457 At-One with the 24" barrel,,,
I just mounted a Mueller 8-32x44 scope on it.

I haven't even gotten my rifle dialed in at 50 yards as yet,,,
But from what you did I'm confident that my rifle will do the job.

I have called it my "no alibi" rifle,,,
If I can't hit the target or group tightly,,,
Well then, it ain't nobody's fault but my own.

Royer, I say this in a nice way. I hate you. I would be happy with this in a centerfire. I have a Remington 204 that shoots one hole at 100 yards. I feel like a rooster crowing on a hickory stump. I have one of these
cz's in 24 inch barrel. I have never scoped or anything. Royer , you planted ambition in me to scope mine and also find pistol ammo , I have standard plus. I have a case of eley 22 long rifle that is in a purple box. I think it is entry level eley. I will get rifle on paper with this purple eley.
It's tater time, I will finish up later, and someone has texted me.
Royer, you did good , I missed it , is your cz of yours a 16 inch or 24 inch
barrel. Gotta go , Royer. Buck

Mine has a 16" barrel with a Dead Air Silencer. I know the feeling about centerfire. I have a 204 as well and I'm happy if it shoots like this.

My 24" likes pistol and rifle match. I just stopped by at Brownells and bought their last rifle match. And it was the cheapest I have seen yet lately. $10.16/box. I bought all they had out on the floor. They said it was the last they had. What was weird was they showed out of stock on their website. I went to get some CCI SV as it was really cheap in the 100rd boxes. $8ea. They said it was in store pricing.

The easy part is making a barrel that is capable of sub-moa. The hard part is acquiring ammo that can realize this potential. I could shoot a dozen groups at 100 yards with my DJ custom 455 and maybe only get a handful in the 0.900’s or a little better. If only the ammo companies would be so kind as to offer at least one bench rest grade of ammo, results like that could be more common.
