As finding and CZ 457 MTR chassis variant has become an exercise in futility I am now considering other options.
Chief among them is buying a B14Rs barreled action and putting it in a chassis. The most affordable among them is the KRG X-ray
I could buy a standard non-MTR chassis 457 but for that price I am close enough to the cost of dropping a B14R BA in an X-ray chassis.
I'm not 100% sold on the idea but would like to know if those who have put their B14R in a KRG X-ray chassis had any magazine issues, how common are they and if you did how did you solve them.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with me. If I go that route will buy the MDT XRS, again sincere thanks. Little worse in the gun world than spending $400+ on a AM stock and not liking it.
It is no small inconvenience that for 90% of AM items like stocks and even optics it is near impossible (at least in my part of the world) to get your hands on them for a first hand evaluation. That is why for guys like me who have zero experience and zero opportunity to gain any posting for opinions and advice is so helpful.

Have you handled the B14R factory stock? I have 2 B14R in Factory stocks, and love them. They are heavy built and have length adjustment and adjustable check rest.

Thank you for your input.
Yes I actually own a B14Rs and absolutely love it. And I agree the stock is IMO excellent. I enjoy shoot it so much along with my T1X, I was at the range today from 8am till 3pm and the temp never got above 35*, wind started out acceptable at +/- 5mph and by 12:30ish was dealing with 18mph gusts. Unless its in the teens or below, cold is a non-factor for me, although after about five hours I did have to put on my finger mitten gloves as my fingers become cold enough to affect my trigger pull. As expected I had the range all to myself all day.
I'm just looking to give a chassis a try as I shot a fellow club members CZ 457 PVC and liked it very much, not more than my B14Rs, but enough I'd like to give one a try.

I shot at 50 and 100 yards to day with multiple mid level match ammo types to determine their drop and even with the wind constantly shifting from the left then right and from 10mph to 18mph the swirling in all directions and only surveyors ribbon as a wind indicator using Eley Team and SM Pistol MS and SK MR I was staying at MOA at 50 and 1-1.7MOA at 100 but the wind was giving me h311 and I at times had to wait 5 or more minuets between shots to allow the wind to become a minimal factor.

As I already have a B14Rs it only makes sense if I can not get a CZ 457 VPC MTR to buy a B14Rs BA and drop it in a AM chassis.
I haven't posted any targets from my B14Rs yet as I I am still learning how best to shoot the gun to maximize it's accuracy potential and my experience thus far I feel is of little benefit to anyone else than myself. BUT based on my results thus far this gun is showing great promise and I have only shot my mid level quality match ammo such as Eley Team and SK match rifle and SK Pistol match special. I have yet to shoot my best match grade ammo out of it of Eley TeneX, Eley Match, Lapua Center-X, RWS R50, and for 100 yards R100 and SK Long Range match

I am definitely taking my time and great care to learn what works and avoid developing bad habits. .

I've had a 457 in an Oryx chassis, XLR element 4.0 and KRG Bravo. All retail in that $400 to $550 range depending on outfitting. I also have a Vudoo in a X-ray so can add some insight there ( to the stock only, not fit to cz) . Just ask if you want specifics.
As for magazine compatibility, the Oryx and XLR chassis had a mag well designed around the CZ mag. They worked well without need for any tweaks. The Bravo used their usual AICS mag well which required an aftermarket insert for smooth loading. FWIW, (and this is a personal thing) I didn't care for the XLR's all metal feel and found no accuracy advantage with it over the others which were a mix of polymer skins and aluminum inner chassis. (Odd because I'm fine with my 457 VPC) These days I keep several rifles in KRG chassis . Two Bravo's and an Xray. They are not quiet as sexy as a MPA chassis but I prefer them for the general shooting I do.

p.s All that said, it's easy enough (and allot cheaper) to buy a non-mtr 457 VPC and upgrade the barrel IF (!!) you determine a need. Honestly, my 16" VPC shoots rights up there with my KRG stocked B14R on any given day. I can also tell you that a B14R in a KRG and CZ 457 VPC are like apples and banana's in feel in heft, feel and overall shooting experience.

Just finished installing a B14 R BR in a MDT XRS, added weight in 3 ways - spacer, forend insert and KRG heavy ARCA rail for a total of 7 lbs chassis only.
Looks great and is very comfortable, but the rifle still insists on Lapua X Act unfortunately like it did in the OEM stock, and I also need to rescope it, the Zeiss Conquest V4 with finger-thick #93 reticle has got to go!
