I don't currently have any Super Stock autos, but I like rummaging around in the SS forum. One thing I saw over there that we don't have is a single thread where we can all show the rifles we are shooting in SS/B. It's nice that we each start a thread to tell a little about our rifle, but I want to see one thread that is nothing but photos with brief descriptions. This way we can easily browse through and see what everyone is shooting.

So... here we go. I'll start this thread off.

Mossberg 44US. Completely stock except for a refinished stock. Shoots extremely well.
Image

Mossberg 146b. Completely bone stock. This is my absolute most favorite model of sporting .22s.
Image

Mossberg 142a. Completely stock... and has a broken stock. :( Great little shooter so far. It's my newest acquisition so haven't had a lot of range time with it yet.
Image

My only non-Mossberg bolt action. Savage MKII BV, only modification is a trimmed trigger spring. Shoots fantastic right out of the box.

The CZ girls.

The Trainer/Special is the blonde in front. Lightened trigger spring, adjustable sear, bedded, barrel cut back to 17" , re-crowned and front sight re-installed.

The brunette in back just came to live with her older sister, and has been bedded, trigger spring lightened, and re-crowned.

Next up is my daddy's old Remington 511. She know longer where's the big scope but has a 3x9 on her.

Image

Savage MKII FV that started out as a 17m2 but now has a 10/22 barrel installed, along with a Boyds stock. Still needs a trigger guard and mag plate.

Image

Last but not least is my daughter's Savage MKII. This one is with the sporter barrel but has been re-crowned and re-chambered with a PTG match chamber. The stock is a doner that me and her tried dieing blue but came out purple. Butt plate is made out of a green cutting board from Walley World.

I need to get some updated pictures of all of my SS bolts. Currently the CZ Trainer is my go to gun with the CZ varmint a close second. :bthumb: :D

Well, here's my little girls.

The first one is the CZ 452 American .22lr Freefloated, Brookie trigger job (20oz.), wearing a Bushnell L.E. 3200 4x12x40mm A.O. and cnelson181 button head action bolts. (shameless plug) :D

Image

The second one is the Marlin 25N .22lr Freefloated, trigger job (30oz), Bedded & pillared, wearing a Bushnell Banner 4x20mm

Image

The third on is the Marlin 917V 17HMR Freefloated, trigger job (32oz), Bedded & pillared, she's wearing a Sightron 2.5x10x44mm (pic shows a Bushey Banner 3x9 though)

Low,

There's always a story behind it.

I got a bug up my butt this winter and decided to refinsh the stock. Stripped it with stripper then started sanding with the grain. That is what it came out like. Used some Ace is da Place dark walnut stain then hand rubbed 10 coats of Tru-Oil into it.

I was kind of disappointed at first, but it has really started to grow on me. :D She is a shooter with the 17 gr. pills!

It's a laminated stock lbd, great looking wood but the finish is a lttle dull for my taste. I gotta get some Formby's tung oil and work up a nice sheen on it.
Speed,

yea, dont care for the factory finish either, and wanna re-do mine.
when you get yours done, plz do a post here. my last coupla re-makes
haven't gone that well for me, no matter what i used, lol, losing my
"touch" or maybe never had it, ouch,

thanks,

Rico....

Thats a great looking centerfire Clem. I bet it's a hoot to shoot.

Lets try to keep this photo thread limited to only the rifles we are actively shooting in the games here in SS/B though.

Go ahead and post a photo of your CZ in here. Thats why this thread is here. it's a picture book for those of us that can't read so well. :D
