Congratulations on getting a like new gun that you have been searching for. I started shooting on a single six at a young age so they are a little special to me.

Congratulations, I stumbled upon one sans rings but only lightly used several months ago.

Just a whole lot of fun....

 

I forgot to mention that I couldn't let a good deed go unanswered so we paid for a Remington 512 in 90% condition for her. We can break it out of California jail the middle of November. The LGS store had a 30 day hold ending October 28 (they explained when they buy a used gun there is a hold to make sure nothing funny was happening with the transfer) then I have a 10 day DROS wait time. I miss the old days of walking in and walking out!!!

 

About 2 weeks ago my truck took an unexpected right turn and I parked in front of the LGS. I've been looking for a single six for about a year and unfortunately in my area they are pretty rare. So I was happy to see this Hunter model on consignment. What I wasn't happy to see was the price tag. I know my face showed it as we walked out of the door.

I slept on it and agonized over the cost and went back to the store the next day to bite the bullet and get the credit card out but of course like often happens it was gone, somebody bought it before I got there. So I moped around the house for 3-4 days.

This morning a pink piece of paper suddenly appeared on the breakfast table and my wife said let's go pick up your gun, can't say enough how lucky I am to have found this woman.

This is a single six Hunter model in the box and never looks like it was shot. The Magnum cylinder was still sealed in the pouch the rings have never been opened the lock was sealed in plastic. There isn't a spec of dirt or carbon on it. Now it's time to go find the right ammo, and make the decision on a long eye relief scope.

I'd also like to find a nice leather drop or thumb break holster that will fit the scoped hand gun if anyone has one they recommend?
