I picked this up the other day. I had ordered it for a LGS’s on
line site Awhile ago. Was 100 bucks less on their online site than in their store. The day I picked it up, the mags came in the mail.

I have yet to shoot it. Probably will later this week. It didn‘t happen today because of Mother’s Day. I cooked my mom and wife a steak dinner. Gun range is closed Monday and Tuesday.

i cleaned the rifle. It was much more difficult to get the pins out than on a regular AR 15.

I have six mags for it. I figured that would be plenty to start. From what I’ve read, the extractor seems to be the weak link on these. I will order a spare to have on hand. I just need to get a nice case for it now. That will come next month after I’ve paid off the CC I used to buy the gun.

it has a Magpul barrel guard/shroud thingy on it. I am going to get a vertical foregrip for it, and a few spare parts.

I’ve read that I can remove the disk thingmajig from the barrel and then it will essential have a free floating barrel. Going to test it first though.

for those of you that have one of these rifles, what has your experience been? This is my only rifle at present. I currently have 4 X 22 cal handguns. I am hoping this will be as much fun.

Great, fun good shooting little .22 rifle. Congratulations. You're going to like it. The end cap pops right off. You can just trim off the 'spokes' so they don't touch the barrel (see pics). I did it to mine before I even shot it so I can't tell you if it enhanced accuracy or not, but I don't think it'll hurt it any. Dress it you how you want to and have fun with it!

The 15-22 is an awesome package for a reasonable price. I’ve never had an issue with either of mine. Some have reported issues with some of the pistol variants, so I threw a Volquartsen reliability kit in mine, very inexpensive but super high quality parts (extractor and firing pin). Mine runs like a top and is my kids favorite rifle to shoot.

I just ordered a nearly vertical grip for the MLOK on my rifle. Was 19 bucks shipped. The LGS where I bought the gun couldn’t be bothered to order me one. They said I had to order it from their online site, which doesn’t work. It has a glitch. It won’t let you check out.

So, while I am going to buy another gun from that they have in their shop, I will buy it from a different LGS for less money. Mazama’s in Eugene Oregon dropped the ball, and their customer service was poor all the way around. I have had problems with their website before. The problem is, like with this rifle that I just posted about, the cost to buy one from their physical store is quite a bit higher. In this case it was $100.00 more to buy the same thing from off the floor, in the store.

I had one the year they first came out. Had the old school quad rail. Reliable rifle and fun to shoot.I even hunted with mine a few times. And later on when I got a rimfire can it was one of the quietest semi host I had because of it being polymer

Be aware of this though ..I had an out of battery discharge with mine that gave me permanent hearing damage in one ear. It's on me because I wasn't wearing ear pro because of it being a 22. I'm a lefty shooter so when the round exploded my left ear was closest to the port and immediately began ringing.Glad I was wearing eye pro though. This was a known issue with them then so hopefully S&W has fixed that problem.

But other than that I really liked it. Enjoy your new rifle.

Well, I finally made it out to the range today to test fire and sight it in. I got a group about the size of a 50 cent piece at 50 yards. I didn’t have time to sight it for 100. I started at 40 feet off a rest and the group size wasame a little bigger than I dime. I sighted it at 25 yards and 50. I then shot it standing at those distances standing. I only shot around 100 rounds today.

I don’t have pics of the targets because I didn’t want to wait another half hour for them To shut down the range so we could pull them. There were only three people other than myself out there shooting today at the range. I was using Aguila super Extra 40 Copper plated round nose today. I also shot my Python out there today.

I added a vertical foregrip to the rifle a few days ago. Was only $13.00 before shipping.
