Labradar has debuted their new compact chronograph….very similar to the Garmin Xero, the Labradar LX. Pretty much the same price, approximate size & both use a small tripod.
Anyone have the LX? I’d like to see a head-to-head test comparison Between the two.

I just read this article...

Here's a summary from web AI

I just got a Garmin. I like the small size and ease of use. It does everything I need it to do. I wasn't aware the Labradar was coming out. I'm not exactly sure what the more advanced features of the Labradar entail but I like the smaller size and ease of use of the Garmin. Knowing what I know I'd still choose the Garmin

I owned the original Labradar but the battery cable port took a dive on me. In my research, I felt that the LR LX was the better choice of the 2. Metal case vs plastic, better warranty were 2 factors that persuaded me to purchase it over the Garmin. So far the performance has been very solid. If I were pressed for 1 negative on this unit, I would say that battery performance could be a bit better, but every range session I have used it at, it hadn't shut off before I had recorded all of my shooting.

Ease of set up and operation has not been an issue at all for me.

IMHO considerably bulkier. down range FPS? Is that really a practical plus?
They lost the game….too little too late unless the Garmin proves unreliable.

As an owner of the Garmin Xero, I will say there is one very annoying weakness of the Xero. If you want start a new session, it involves pressing like 10 buttons on the device (have to enter the bullet weight, confirm 4 separate screens, etc). If you have a bunch of sessions you want to test then this becomes pretty annoying. After about 8 months of using, my buttons are feeling a bit like mush. I do wish Garmin had an option to start new sessions from the phone app. That would have made it much simpler than leaning over and pressing 10 button presses. If the Labradar has remote control directly from the app, then I would go for the labradar over Garmin
