Some years ago I bought a used standard 10-22 carbine. There was a gunsmith at my club who offered to accurise for $100. This consisted of setting headspace, Chamber reaming and trigger work. It was quite a bit better. I was using it to shoot clay pigeons on the berm at 100 yards. Fun.
I purchased a Hogue overmoulded stock. There used to be a website called “Major Pandemic” that rated various 1-22 upgrades that really liked Feddersen barrels so I bought an 18” tapered one that fit the Hogue stock.
Then I got the Kidd bug. Installed the 2 stage trigger, Bolt, Pins with screws ,V block, Bolt and bolt bumper, Charging handle & springs, Action screw.
Finally I got a Kidd receiver and rear tang.
Inatalled all this in a Boyd Pro Varmint stock.
The scope is a Leupold 45 x 45 Competition
Except for the magazines there are no Ruger parts.
How does it shoot? I have been having health problems and have been unable to get out to the range but plan to soon. More later.

I had surgery on my leg this morning so maybe I will be able to get out to the range soon. One thing I wanted to point out was that after I added the Kidd rear tang to the receiver it removed all play between the barreled action and the stock. I figured I was not skilled enough to inlet the stock for the tang so I searched around and found George Gillespie who runs Sonoran Gunstocks in Tucson Arizona. Have Kidd ship the tang to him. You will have to send him your stock. I bought a cheap plastic gun case on Amazon.
