Muzzle Brake on a Charger

Hello!
Would a muzzle brake on a Charger be a plus or a minus? I do use muzzle brakes on large case capacity rifles. My main reason for them is crown protection, any recoil benefit would be an extra. My new Charger barrel is threaded and silencers are a no-no where I live. I'm not a flash hider guy. So any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated.

i had the same experience.

i can suggest a slightly longer knurled protector if you just want a little more protection

example dip sells a thread protector that sits flush or almost flush at .400

Yankee hill sells one that is .600 so it is just long enough to protect but not be a nuisance

good luck

E-bay, eh...
Hmm, now if I can find some info on how to drill or mill that to make a turbulence free zone just off the muzzle.
