Hello all,
I have just come across what I think is a very unique scope made by Mossberg. It is an RF-1 Rangefinder scope. Made from 1938 to 42 it is quite unique in its operation of automatically setting the scope reticles out to 200 yards by sliding the top cam to frame 6" of the target between two horizontal stadia wire crooswires. It is excellent condition for its age and has a courst adjustment for elevation built into the mount and micrometer adjustments for final sight in. The mount also has built in linear adjustment for eye relief on different rifles.
I am going to list this scope on the for sale page if anyone would have any interest.
Just thought you might like to see it as I don't think it is all that commone to find one in this good condition.
The spec info came from Nick Stroebels latest book on scopes and metallic sight.
