The 2006 Blue Book shows a 95% 241 @ $300 and a 98% @ $375. However, I find the Blue Book to be way behind the times on good quality .22 rifles. My guess would be more like $100 over that. add the documentation you have withit and it would bring top dollar for it's condition, and I would say from the pictures you show, that it is at least a 95% in what is shown.... very nice rifle.

 

This past week on AA 510$ for 241 lr as new.

So there's some hungry shoppers out there.
With all the paperwork ya got to go with it who knows the $$$.

A NIB 241 went for a cool $1,000 a little over 3 mo ago on gunbroker.com. If you are looking to sell for an upper end price, then you will be selling to a collector/hobbyist. The condition of the gun, plus the literature, should be very apealing to the select buyer.

On the other hand, if you do a search for completed "remington 241" auctions on gunbroker.com, then you will find that most go for $350 or (usually) less; however, I personally haven't seen another used one that would rate at the level of yours. Very nice gun.

 

Thanks for the reply's. The gun is not special to me and could be had if the right offer came by. I have it up for trade on the Want To Buy / Trade board. It is the cleanest one I have ever seen.

 

Anybody notice the "Smokeless - Greased" marking on the barrel? I guess that means lubed bullets?

is it LR? If it doesn't go here,(really doubt it will),you might list it on GunBroker with a $300+/- starting bid and put a big reserve on it just to find out what it's really worth.

I sold a minty 241 in 22 Short this year for $500.00.

 

I bought a nice 241 22short maybe 12 months back for 350$. Take more than 500$ to let it go because of condition and its a SHORT.

 

I'm not sure about the 241, but in a 24, the short is worth more than a LR... I think that would also be the case with a 241.

 

If it was mine,I'd laugh at any offer under a grand.I'd just set it in there with my other half dozen 241's and smile like hell.


The last one I saw in that condition was at a gun show in Austin.It was absolutely perfect in every way and checkered,but no box or anything else.Asking price was $400 and he wouldn't budge.

I might also mention that this was when Austin had a real gun show at the old City Colliseum down by the river(now all we have is SAXET and it sucks.)

This was AT LEAST 15 years ago.
