For some reason the Mares Leg idea fascinates me. I want one but don't know if I should get one. I hear people say it is impractical or pointless. Those that own one, how do you like it? Thanks.

Also looks like a good way to extract a wisdom tooth..........A good way to shoot them is with a cheek weld, like this.

This is for Washington State.303 I am not being snarky, but why cant you have a loaded rifle in your truck? I grew up in ranch and ag country and the ranchers usually carried ruger ranch rifles in their trucks. President Reagan flew into Klamath Falls during the logging and owl issue to meet with the big wig sawmill owners. there is a fighter base there and they had the runway room to land Air Force One. my dad was the undersheriff at the time and had to work with the secret service. they went out to the big Weyhauser mill, which at the time was the biggest pine mill in the world. those guys crapped their pants when they saw all the trucks with guns in them. oh well another time and era for sure. shoot straight and often.
Not just "considered" they ARE pistols by the legal definition, and it clearly states so on the box.are mares legs considered pistols?
I also have a Rossi 38/357 Ranch Hand and while it is so much more practical it isn't as much fun to plink with. I've always likes short carbines from the M1 Carbine to a Mare's Leg and even some youth models.I dunno, I really dont like the looks of the things. I think before I'd by one in .22LR, I'd buy me another .22LR/.22WMR hand gun first. But the one firearm I would really like to have is a .38/.357 long gun, preferably in semi auto. A lever action wouldn't have a problem finding a spot in my gun cabinet tho.
Not slammin anybodys choice.
