Why are they so hard to find?

Yeah, I like the hold open feature myself. That's why I bought so many extra at that time.
That's why I bought some extra ones. I asked my local gun store to get me an extra one (he said he could order one). He ordered two. I bought one. Then after thinking about it for a few days I went back and bought the other one. Guess he knew what he was doing ordering two.

I actually prefer 10/22 mags. The magazine I got with the TCR22 is a PIA to load. I don't know how it is with anyone else, but with mine it is so stiff, that it hurts my thumb to load, really cutting into the flesh.
Then too, I had a couple 10/22 mags laying around from years back !

Besides, when either zeroing my rifle or hunting, I rarely completely empty the magazine before reloading it.. can't feature going through rounds so fast as to run out.

I had similar problem with my original TCR mag, loosened up the tension one notch, and works fine, easy to load.

I want to shoot Appleseed with this rifle and in the timed events it helps save time with the LSHO feature when changing mags.

I have since found Shooters Surplus has mags listed as not out of stock, ordered 2, will see how long it takes to get them. Everywhere that has them listed shows out of stock, including Thompson.

to me the TCR-22 is a outstanding rifle... and i have owned many 10/22 from stock to tricked out but my TCR is perfect as is.... BUT there mag suck.. so i bought a ruger BX-1 mag and found a BX-15 which i like even better.. the BX-15 fits in hand better and easy to get out of bottom of gun fr reloading.. i don't care about the bolt hold open

Why would anyone buy anything from CTD after what they've been doing to us shooter's for all these years with their price gouging? Not only that you can get a 3 pack of BX-1 mags from pretty much anywhere for less than $50.
