Lots of good news..... I just added a very nice gun to my large spring (summer) shootout. I had a very nice 451 Sporter which had a bedding issue which a very qualified Gunsmith offered to pillar and glass bed and I should have it back very soon.... and since he already did his majic on the 3 screw trigger this gun will come back ready to compete. I also had a very nice 451-T heavy barrel, again with the B.V. modified 3 screw trigger ready for the big competition. I was missing the 3rd member of that 451 family trio, the infamous 451-S to round out the collection and am happy to say I found what appears to be a beauty. Wont know till I get it my hands which should be in about a week. That Gun will also enter the "shoot out" competition of my collection.

As stated before the shooting bench (table) I was using previously was absolute junk. cheap 15 pound fold in half plastic craft table with wobbly legs and it just had to go as there was no way to get these guns to their full potential on a table that rocked like a boat, so I built a really nice benchrest table. It is very heavy and the height was set up to be perfect for me. She is as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar. So.... everything is in order, guns are ready, top shelf ammo, nice super heavy table. The only problem is now I have no excuses to fall back on.... but i'll think of somethin if things head south. I can't wait to see how they all shoot and their placings.

I will start the 50 yard shootout within the next week and it will take a while to go thru all the guns.

Winchester 52B (24x Bausch & Lomb)
Remington 582 (Leupold 4-12x)
Remington 541-T sporter (Leupold 6.5-20x40mm AO)
Remington 541-T HB (Hawke 6-24x 56mm)
Remington 541-S Custom Sporter (Sightron 36x42mm)
Sake P94S (Athlon Midas 4.5-27x50mm)
CZ 452 Grand Finale (Leupold 6.5-20x40mm AO)
CZ 452 American (Leupold 6.5-20x40 AO)
Mauser 201 (Leupold 6.5-20x40 AO)
Kleinguenther K-22 (Athlon Midas 4.5-27x50mm)

Sending a few pics of the new Benchrest table. Made out of treated lumber, 4" exterior screws, 1/2" carriage bolts, edges routered then all sanded. I put some 1/2" foam which will not absorb water over the seats to keep my ars comfortable on the long days althought that would have been a legit excuse.... my ars got sore. It has the CZ 527 American .17 Hornet w/36x42mm Sightron on it just to give a reference for size. Pics of my new Rem 451-S Custom Sporter forthcoming.

time will tell.... but I have to share a tidbit of info.... I shot the brand new CZ Grand Finale last fall for the first time and she ripped a 5 shot one holer at 55 yards right out of the box with the first 5 rounds of Eley Match ammo. So I'm guessing she will be up near or at the top. I'm going to place my bet on the Sako P94S (pic below) although the two German guns will be giving me goose bumps. I'm going to laugh my ars off if the tubular magazine Rem 582 spanks the bunch.

I never regretted buying my 541-s even though it doesn’t get shot much

Well that was a productive day!.. good job
I absolutely hate shooting of a wobbly bench. Its just a waist of ammo.
My problem is i want to pick a spot and do a concrete bench. But where? Every time i have a spot i think the next spot will be better so i do nothing but sit around and talk crap ..while my babies collect dust and my shooting skills go down the drain
Hahaha...im man at myself
And im very proud of you Rimfireraptor hahaha
