So I love the pics of all the Kidd builds. Let’s see the rifle with a current target. I’m thinking about going to the dark side.
so anyone wanna share some Target Pics?

Kidd 20" black barrel
2 stage trigger 8oz/8oz
custom stock
Prado Sunday 4/2/23
Distance 55 yards
Diameter of circle is 1"
5 rounds per target

targets 1 and 2 are Eley Benchrest precision
3 is Tac-22
4 is Eley Match
9 and 10 are center-X, the lot number ending in 337

6,7 and 8 are Center-X the lot number ending in 653

So there's one lot of Center-X that is outstanding, the rest not so much

Great target!!
Tell us about the vintage of your Supergrade, and any tweaks may have like bedding, and what KIDD trigger.
I assume your target was shot at 50yds.

Mine shown in post #21 is a 2013/2014 Supergrade with the barrel screwed onto the receiver (so not a switch barrel,) with the KIDD 2 stage set at 3oz/3oz.
The stock was a special McMillian copy of the Anschutz famous Silhouette Stock made for KIDD that is machined so tight that it's essentially bedded.
Got to Love KIDD.

I used IBS Rimfire 50 yard targets, one shot per bull. Used OnTarget to create these 25-shot composites. I've been comparing against my CZ 457 for my own purposes, so with my methodology, if there is a malfunction and the round is not too deformed to fit comfortably in the chamber, it gets fired. Right, wrong, or indifferent, that is how I did it. Most of the fliers with Eley, the Match and Tenex in particular, are the result of this.

Kidd Classic 16.5" bull barrel build, 100% Kidd parts, sitting in Hogue Overmold stock. Shot off concrete bench, using front heavy bag and rear bag.

Norma Tac-22 black box (that little guy down there? don't worry about him. Seriously, I have no explanation.):

USBR target that I shot in Aug of 2021.
RWS R50 at 50yds of course.
I did it just to see what a 10/22 could do, and came out so nice I had one of my fellow USBR competitors sign it off.
I shot a few more targets with a 242-5X and a 239-4X so this is the best it has shot.

Our Range has a 12 month long USBR match now it its 6th year shooting 2 targets in 45 minutes on the 1st Saturday of each month.
In the match I shoot my 1727F CISM, and just starting last month my new Holeshot 2500X.
But it was fun to see what a 2013/2014 Supergrade with great ammo could do.

This is is how it was set up the day I shot the target.
In our match we don't allow tuners and you must shoot off a Bi-Pod and a rear sandbag.

And this is its best glam shot.;)

Here is my Kidd rifle. It has a Kidd 20" bbl. As well as Kidd bolt and charging handle. The trigger is a two stage, 3 oz/3oz. The group shot with Eley Match is 5 shots at 50 yards. Measures .185.
The SK RM group is 5 shots at 50 yards. Measures .119.

Enjoying this thread owning a SG with 20" heavy and 18" LW barrel. To all those that have posted one group with each ammo, would it be possible to get the average group size for that ammo of the 10 five shot groups you shot that day? I have some spectacular cherry pickers as well but mine with something like SK+ does around 1/2" at 50 when you count all of them.

I really need to get some better ammo to test my kidd thoroughly after seeing all your group results
Dave, unless there are numerous groups being reported do not use any singles as results you can expect to get as that is never their average. Some posted groups from many months ago, so what about lately or results that don't look so good. I determined to not go over the lower end price point in Eley and SK. Came across a great deal in Eley Club for only $6 a box so bought more than I could use. My limit is just under $700 a case ($7 a box). Easy to spend more but to what end as I am shooting mostly field/offhand. If you own a Kidd like me, you do not own a benchrest gun! Don't try to force it to be one. Try SK Standard+. SK Pistol Match & Special if not too expensive and Eley Target & Club and see what happens. I like all of these but they do not do enough better than the TAC-22 at $4 a box that I have tested extensively.

Vaguru,
Nice work....would you tell us how many rounds per target so we old people have a better understanding what we are looking at. I too am trying to do some testing to try to hit those
targets with a newly acquired super grade perched in a Victor Titan stock.....Are we able to use an old historic word like stock anymore? Anyway thank you for sharing your information
