Is a Kidd trigger kit in a Ruger 10/22 better than an Volquartsen trigger kit in a Ruger 10/22 and if so, why? I am checking into my options before making a purchase. Thanks Gill

Complete kits: Hammer, sear, disconnector and spring, blade, and only withVQ return spring plunger and spring.etc
Vs

Id say , either one , bias towards kidd. But! Since the both still rely on the oem design trigger return spring , id skipthem both. Forthesame money and less diy, a Brimstone BX will , imho, a better job. And get a cleaner crisper lighter trigger.
For less money, a 13$ wolfe spring kit and a 15$ metal trigger blade and polishing you can do the same job, as the kits.

My a$vice, soend the $400 andbuy the kidd 2 stage . Clearly a superior trigger.

Where do you get the wolf spring kit and the metal trigger blade for the 10/22? Thanks

Two 10/22's: one with a Timney trigger and the other with a KIDD trigger kit.
Thought the KIDD would get the pull down but it is just under three ponds with the lightest spring.
Told by a gunsmith I probably would not do better than that.
I have a line on another gunsmith and the work and quality on a 10/22 was impressive.

I have always added to the Kidd trigger Kit, the Kidd Pull Weight Tuning Kit and installed the lightest spring. While the plunger is out, put it in a drill chuck and round off the square shoulder & polish it smooth. Further on the round end of the hammer strut, improve the rounding and polish. You may wish to cold blue when you are done. The Kidd parts should give a pretty nice crisp trigger at 1.5 pounds or less.
