Good afternoon, My hope is the expertise here can help me identify some apertures that I have from my Redfield International and Olympic sights.

Image

This picture is of apertures that are clearly marked as Merit. However, I have been unsuccessful in finding any information about them. They are adjustable and function fine.

This picture is apertures that have no markings. The two on the left are included to show how their assembled configuration. The one on the right is partially disassembled to show the three components. It has an insert similar to front globe sights but with a single aperture hole. I left it partially removed from the fitting that attaches to the eye piece which threads into the micrometer sight.

Thanks for help and information that you can share on these apertures.

Merit apertures are still manufactured and sold. Easy to find and purchase.

Here’s a little how and what

I just can’t find a source for the rubber light shield.

Thank you.
Are you indicating that no aftermarket supplier (such as Lee Shaver or Tompkins) offers replacement inserts for these Redfield master disks? I have found the Lee Shaver inserts for my Redfield Olympic globes to have advantages over original inserts, so new production/innovation can be an aid too.
