Sorry if this has been covered before but a search turned up nothing definitive.
So I have a tricked out 22/45 Lite that I'd like to try Steel Challenge games with and was wondering if anyone makes a Holster that would accommodate my set up. If nothing fits exactly, are their mods that could be made to a commercial holster to get me there? For clarity, I have no intention of drawing from the holster during competition, I just want something to carry it to the foreign line. Thanks in advance.

Tacoma... rather than use a holster, I'd suggest the use of something like a Midway pistol pouch that holds spare magazines also.... there are two pockets on the other side that hold loading tool, ammo, and accessories... I orient the pistol to face down range with the left side up... I remove the pistol and set it on the table, then open the velcro flap giving me access to all the magazines... that way I do not change the grip on the pistol during a stage... regards

Thanks for that input. That seems to make allot of sense and is the way I will go. Those Midway pouch's (like all their bags/cases) are well designed . That will solve my mag and ammo logistics issue too. I'm going to get 2 (why not at $10 each!) so I can have one for my CZ TSO if the mood for a larger caliber entry strikes me.

Yea, I tend to use a mix of TK and Volquartsen parts in all my MK series pistols. It seems TK has really catered to the 22/55 lite design in particular so that's how this one turned out. Love the Hive grips in particular. Honestly though, I'm not a fan of their Game Changer Pro comp and will likely swap that out soon. p.s. Like the Blue color!

Tandemkross sells a nice Kydex holster for the Mark IV. It's not cut out for the thumb ledge but you can do it with a little effort and a Dremel with a cutting wheel. I prefer to have my gun in a holster during Steel Challenge matches. I carry enough equipment in my shooting bag, like ammo, screwdrivers and extra parts that those little bags don't do me any good.

I make my own holsters so the thumb ledge isn't a problem. It does give me a fit making the holster low enough for the thumb ledge but I can work with it.

Tacoma... center fire pistols start from a holster, hands at surrender ... the range protocols typically want you to holster at a safe table not at your vehicle. so the bag is a good option there also

I forgot to mention, I use a chamber flag with my MKIV.. and rifle...I find that supposedly experienced shooters often get complacent with safety... Les

Yes, our club steel match's are pretty flexible. I believe they offer the option for shooting from a gun in hand muzzle down or holstered position for either Rimfire or Centerfire. ( I witnessed both last match). In any case, I don't care to draw from the holster with guns that have triggers of 2.5# or less. I have no delusions of winning, I just want to have fun ( and maybe not come in last :)) I'm also a big believer in safety flags and or safety mags that hold the bolt open. I use them on all my range trips. Thanks again. I put in an order to Midway today.

wjwillia... sorry, it is an old USPSA expression for thumb support platforms..to improve sight alignment, and help reduce recoil... I try not to need to change my grip during a string of fire. I apply the safety prior to loading as I've had my thumb actually hit the side of the trigger when energetically inserting magazines...my other competition pistol's magazines have always had extended base pads, my MKIVs do not,, and release the safety only when I'm in the ready position... my thumb supports are from Striplin and came as a package with the Tandem Kross grips .. the large 510c is balanced, but still changes the swing characteristic over a much smaller lens.... this is an older picture the pistol now has a 5.5" bull barrel
