Holosun 407k x2 durability?

So, here in a couple months I'll be picking up an optic for my latest acquisition (Taurus TX22 Compact); was thinking about the Holosun 407k x2, but one bit of info I'm having trouble finding is.. Durability.

Most reviews say Holosun makes "durable" optics, but they never really specify what "durable" means.

For example, the Vortex Defender CCW can take a lot - a LOT - of punishment, and in particular one feature that I like is being able to rack the pistol off the optic against a hard surface (or my belt); I rely on a cane to get around, and I've always found it a bit of a PITA when I'm having mobility issues to tuck my cane under my arm just to rack the slide. It's not a deal-breaker, but after seeing the Defender take that abuse, it made me wonder if that's an option with the Holosun.

(note: I don't want the Vortex Defender because of the poor battery life, insanely long auto-shutoff and slow refresh rate).

Anybody able to give me a solid answer on the Holosun 407k x2's durability?

I'm also open to other recommendations; ideally in the same price point, and RMSc footprint.

EDIT: just as a note, I finally found this affirming the reliability and durability needed in my case (507k is basically the same with different reticle & battery life):

I had a HS407K-X2 mounted on my Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical 12ga semi-auto shotgun...is survived the 250 round break in range sessions with no issues. I removed it when I purchased a Holosun EPS carry for the shotgun and moved the HA407K-X2 to my Colt 1911 I had milled. It has survived the 1911 45ACP with no issues either. It will do just fine on the 22Lr.

It got banged around plenty, no issues there, but I do not use optics as a way to rack my slides so no help on that one. I certainly would if I needed to in an emergency, but not something I do normally or feel I would need to practice. Understand from your post your needs are different. The only two I would trust with regular racking are the Vortex because of their amazing warranty and Trijicon because they are know for their rock solid construction. You stated you did not want the Vortex and the Trijicon is higher in price, but those are probably the best options.

you might want to look at their titanium models, the windows are recessed so that you don't hit the glass while racking it off of obstacles, I have the 509T X2 in green and it has been great but has its own unique mounting plate, I run the 507C on my TX22, sage dynamics did an abuse test on the 509T years ago and it survived all of his abuse but he has reviewed most of these type of optics if you look, but you might want to look at the 508T since it has an RMR footprint, I had my slide milled on my Dagger for the 509T, I think I have more into the optic than the Dagger lol.

here is the 509T with a direct mount but it does come with a plate to mount it to an RMR footprint.

here is a crummy pic of the slide with the cut just in case, it shares the same footprint as the Aimpoint Arco.
