I have used shorts in my Henry's ( I have a couple) with no problem at all. In fact, I was really surprised at how accurate they were at 25 yards ( CCI High velocity). Have also shot the CCI CB shorts, not quite as accurate but still fun to plink with. Go for it!:bthumb:

 

Yes, CCI CB Shorts work quite well in my two Henrys.

 

CCI CB shorts work great in my H001L, they drop a couple of inches over 30 yards but still fun! I've also had no problem with the Remington shorts, only the fact they are a little dirty.

 

Same here. Been using them so I can keep my long rifles for the rest of my rimfires!

 

They work. I use them as the last shot for the tube. It will only go "pffft" when fired compared to the regular rounds. It lets me know when I need to reload.

Shorts work fine in my H001Y. With the ammo shortage, I ended up buying some shorts when I ran across them. They work equally well in my Heritage Rough Rider as well. I can save what LRs I have for my semi-autos. Like everyone else, I'll be glad when supply catches up and once again we see adequate supplies of LR. (and other ammo as well). :gun4:

 

Fun to shoot. The CCI's work great in my H001. Remington Golden Bullets didn't want to cycle very well, though.

 

I recently bought a H001L and really like it. Was at the LGS and saw some boxes of shorts that turned out to be of Polish manufacture in 1987. They shoot fine. Standard velocity, so nice and quiet.

 

I have also seen Shorts perform well out of Henry rifles; the guns hold alot of 'em, and they can be accurate as well as relatively quiet; realistically a good HV Short round with a hollow point is all one really needs for squirrel hunting and the like :bthumb: My two former Henrys both fed and cycled these rounds just fine, although my Frontier 'T model did not eject them very well - my standard H001 had no such issues as I recall.
