New to rimfire but not new to shooting. Never thought I'd have so much fun shooting .22lr but its a blast!

My first 10/22 is the new Carbon Fiber series. First thing that had to go was the awful MOE X-22 stock, replaced it with the Hunter X-22 which is sturdier and much stiffer.

Hello and welcome to RFC, I have made this to just help you get started and more comfortable on RFC. If you have not done so yet, Please tell us a little about yourself. I am Tom from Northern Illinois.

Why don't you pull up a chair and sit for a while. If you have the time stop on by The Watering Hole and chat for a bit. The first drink is always on the house. Look at the picture of the first post for The Watering Hole and you might understand better about your first free drink. This link below should take you there.

If you have read the rules you know that you have to have 30 posts to be able to buy or sell on Rimfire Central marketplace. If you are trying to get your post count up, You might want to check out another link below. You could also purchase your membership.

If you are looking to have a question answered, try to go to the right forum to ask you question. Please don’t ask your questions here in the introduction forum area. Not as many people will see it. It might take a little looking around, but I’m sure that you will find a place to ask your question.

I understand that my post to new member is almost always the same, but I do mean what I type here. If you are lost or are not sure where to go to look for something, you can alway ask and I will do my best to help you. Almost everyone here is very open and willing to help you. It is a very good and caring group of people.

PS, Please make sure that you read the rules and if you have any questions, just asked, almost all any of us would be glad to help you if we can.

SE Ohio is such a cool area. I used to drive to WV a lot and I would try to take a new road back as often as possible and I feel like that whole portion of SE OH gets no attention. Columbus is too busy for me and everything on the SW side just doesn't interest me.

Have you guys done any feral hog hunting? I hear they're making their way into southern OH and causing trouble.

East and west welcomes as well as from the midwest, but none from the south, so, welcome from mid-western FLORIDA!

I don't know SE Ohio much, but I spent some time in Dayton when we lived in Richmond, Indiana.

I bought a Ruger 10-22 75th Anniversary issue with the light wood stock. It was for a grandson, who shot it once. He did not want it .... I have not shot it as I have other rifles and pistols.

How do you carry the 10-22? Are you using an optical sight?
