I picked up a Bingham-Taylor Magazine adapter on GB awhile back, it was listed as a sight mount for $10 ($14.95 shipped). It is brand new even has the original price tag of $10.95 on it.

Now I need to find some mags to use with it. I've been reading and looking around and it said that just about any Bingham Squires, Mitchell, Armscor, Squibman magazine can be used with it.

The mags don't all look the same however. Some of the Mitchell / Armscor mags don't have the stamped seams sticking out the sides that adapter looks like it is made to accept. They look more squarish and fatter and flat on the sides. Even Mags listed for the Mitchell AK-22 are different at some sites and in GB auction, a small illustration below both types for the same rifle.

The types I've been fining generally.

I've seen in several threads here and elsewhere that people use the Squires Bingham Model 20 Magazine with the adapter. The Model 20 magazines are the fat square type without the stamped seam sticking out the side (opr front and back). Bob's Gunshop lists a bunch of different Mags but they are all the Fat Square type too. http://www.gun-parts.com/magazines2/

Do I need the square fat mags or the stamped mags with the seams sticking out?

Or do either type work in the adapter?
