I'm not sure where you can get a manual. Parts schematics are available on many online gun parts stores.

 

My serial number is 72470775. If I a reading you correctly, then mine would be manufactured in 1928???

 

Your gun was made in 1972.
1972 was the 100th year anniversary for the original Marlin company. Most if not all serial numbers that year started with those two numbers (72).

 

My first "real" rifle - in 1968. Real shooter and still is. Now it lives with my oldest. No clue how much lead went down that barrel

So, I just tried putting a scope on mine but I can’t really figure it out cause it doesn’t have much of a rail. Any way you can tell me how you did it?

 

Call BKL tech tell them what rifle and scope combo you are using and they will tell you what rings. I have them on all my CZ RIFLES.
