Glenfield Marlin model 60

Looking for help! I recently got a Glenfield model 60 by Marlin and it was missing the inner magazine tube. I have no idea what year it is (serial # starts with 253, if that helps any) or if I'm even correct on it being the 18 shot.
Anyways, I've purchased and tried both the "New style" and the "Old style" tubes and neither one works! They won't seat in all the way and twist to lock in and hold closed.
The "j hook" looks to be on the inside of the outer tube (not visible on the outside of tube like all the other guns I've seen this model. I'm at a complete loss as to what to do now as these are the only 2 options I've been able to find for replacement tubes! Any help would be greatly appreciated??? ( See Pics below)

Show us the roll stamp on the barrel. Is it a 60, or a 75?
Being a 25xxxxxx number should make it a 1975 model, long tube, 18 rounds IIRC.

But I’ve never seen that collar on any Marlin model 60, and I’ve had a dozen, from the ‘70’s to the 2010’s.
I agree with ajole. I haven't owned near the number he has, but none of mine, nor any 60 I've seen have that type of band.

I have two Glenfield model 60s, one is a 263XXXX serial, one a 233XXXX number. They have totally different front sights, barrel bands, and stock shapes although the same stock imprint. Can't see a lot in this old pic, I'll see if I can get some others tomorrow.
