g1 Contender problems

Hi recently joined but having problems with my Contender which I have had for many years. I replaced the hammer spring, the striker spring, the interlock, and the sear. After doing this, I am having a barrel lockup problem. Never had a lockup before. I've taken the internals apart so many times I could do it blindfolded. I feel I am missing one step but can't figure it out. Any ideas? Thanks for your input. Artron9

You might check the locking bolts on the barrel. These sometimes need polishing and on the original G1 pistols, the locking bolts were one piece. On the newer barrels the locking bolts are two piece. If you have a barrel that fits and works, you can try switching the locking bolts to the barrel that is giving you problems and see if that works. I agree Mike Bellum is one of the Contender experts! Best of Luck!!
