Whats your favorite ammo that anyone has tested yet in their T1X 22lr. Most reports have been CCI Standard. Just wondering if anyone likes something else. Thinking about buying a brick of Fiocchi Subsonic.

I tried out a bunch of ammo I had on hand. Worst was Rem Thunderbolt. Next to worst was Rem Golden. Pretty good was Federal bulk box ammo. Better than that, and the best I had on day one, was Federal Auto Match. Since then I bought some CCI Blazer 40 gr RN, and that stuff is very accurate. I have not tried any expensive imported ammo, but the Blazer was excellent, so I’ll just stay with it. It was well under MOA at 50 yards. Groups where I felt like I did my part were about 3/8”.

That's dime size. That's not bad at 50 yards, especially not using "premium" ammo.

The rifle has a 1 MOA guarantee for a 3 shot group at 50 yards. Of the ammo I tried, the Fed Auto Match and the CCI Blazer 40 gr RN were the only ones that met or beat the 1 MOA. The only reason I specifically bought the Blazer ammo was a 22 LR ammo review in the annual Varmint magazine. They tested many different ammo brands and types (SV, HV, Subsonic) in a Savage semiauto and a CZ with 3 switchable barrels. The Blazer averaged the best groups in (if I remember correctly) all barrels. So I ordered some.

Now, can I shoot 10 5 shot groups under 1/2” at 50 yards, and will the ammo do it? I honestly don’t know, though I think the odds are against it. All I can be sure about is that the rifle and that ammo easily met the 1 MOA guarantee. I was using front and rear bags and a4.5-14 Leupold, set on 14 power. Not much wind.

I was surprised that mine also did pretty well with CCI Standard Velocity on the first outing. 10 round groups below shot at both 50 and 100 yards. The 50 yard targets are the orange discs. 10 rounds of each ammo was first used on a sighter target (not shown) before using that particular ammo for the 10 shot group. For the 100 yard target, 20 rounds of the respective ammo was fired out of the barrel just before a 10-shot group with the same ammo was attempted. Close up shots for CCI SV and RWS, in that order, shown for 50 yards (10 shot groups again). I messed up by forgetting to try CCI SV at 100 yards.
