does anyone know what the difference in the two is? i picked up a brick of the 33 gr accutips, and shot a few targets in a gun that will 1/2 group the vmax bullets. they look alike, in fact, i didnt notice any difference until i checked the box, but, these accutips didnt shoot as well. what gives? and why would remington load two loads so similar? maybe they are the same, with different box markings, and different lot, i dont know

Yes. There are a few poly tipped projectiles for the WMR (33 and 30 grain) both projectiles are manufacured by Hornady. All are loaded by CCI. Accu tip is a trade name as is Vmax. Remington calls their product accu tips and they are 33 grain. CCI and Hornady use the 30 grain V max version.

Another company OSSI also custom loads a 35 grain V max.

You might want to clean your barrel and see if accuracy returns.
