I was looking for a CZ Rimfire or Centerfire today, but had no luck finding one that called out to me.
While looking around in the store, I found a stack of CZ Slavia 630 Air Rifles. While my lifetime air rifle experience has been limited to Daisy BB guns and one Gamo .177, I decided to buy one. Seemed like at good price at $79.99.
Just curious what the general opinion of this rifle and whether or not I got it at a decent price.

From what little reading I have done on them the consensus seems to be very positive......And I believe I read they are no longer imported.
IMHO you done really well on your new purchase.....Congratulations.
If I could buy one locally for that price I surely would.

I had a 631 so I wanted it's Stablemate the 630/
Boy mine was a real LEMON!!!
It sorta looked like the 631 but upon close inspection, you'd swear it was A chinese POS! even the Moniker on the reciever was etched totally different and sloppy!
I rebuilt the thing hoping that the rebuild and more powerfull U.S spe'c mainspring didn't help (mine was Canadian and low powered to begin with).
I understamd Paul Watts (a SUPER Tuner) tried to build a series of custom "Superguns" with all his skills abord, but ran into so many inconsistancys that he finally gave up on the idea!
Sorry to post such bad news.
Now, if you got a "good" 631, I understand they are as accurate as the 631's are! Man there were several perfect 630's made!
The Canadians shot about 450-500fps and the US grade full power guns shoot about right on 630fps with very good consistancy. Almost ALL the 631's are like that!
You have to shoot a 631 to experience near out of the box perfection! They were quite a fad for a long time and still have a dedicated "Cult" following.
Yours sure is a nice looking one!
