Nothing special, took my circa 2007 CZ 452 American (threaded 1/2 x 20 so it’s got an adapter on it) with a Leupold 3-9 Rimfire EFR scope to to the range this morning. IMO beautiful straight grain walnut

shoots as well as it looks

Very nice, classic rifle. That's the way a rifle ought to look in my opinion.

I'm gonna use that excuse next time I don't have post worthy targets, which will likely be the next few times I go shooting. The only issue is that I often shoot behind the house... maybe I could say the dog ate the targets
I post 2 inch groups at 50 yards, I get told how to make them better from people I never see posting targets. I had the two targets I shot this am, I had stuff in the truck, I left the targets in the bed under a box of ammo and a box of shooting stuff. I then drove 2 hours on the highway when I stopped the targets were gone.

They were sub 1-inch targets from an amazing CZ 452

Beautiful rifle. That looks like the American Varmint 452 model with the heavy barrel.

Beautiful rifle. To me, it appears to be the varmint version due to the heavy, threaded barrel. 452's did not have straight heavy barrels, but a tapered heavy barrel. Making it even more rare. If it has one action bolt and a barrel bolt, it is a varmint. Because of the condition and rarity, I'd wrap it in blankets and keep it in a safe place!

My contribution to the CZ owners circle is my 452 chambered for 17HM2. I thought it would be a dandy squirrel rifle as it is extremely accurate, enough so to hit a squirrel's head out to 100 yds. But if I missed the head and hit the shoulder or lower body - it was way too destructive for me. Even head shots on rabbits kinda made me sick. But it sure explodes a starling. But for hunting rabbits and squirrels I go back to my trusty Winchester Mod 75 Sporter that really likes Remington Vipers.
The CZ 452 has an old Weaver Classic 3-9 X scope that I really like.

Bilrus61 sir plenty good enough for a hunter like me. I bought it from Tclong03 and he sold it to me because he said it did not shoot for him. I am super happy with it. It was about 48 yards. Shot 9 and 10 just floored me. I had to walk up to the target to see where I hit, just got lucky. The last five shot group I got nervous but good enough for this guy. Remember it's a 22mag.
