Cortina Precision Bolt Shroud

I read a post about the Cortina Precision Bolt Shroud early this year so I decided to try one. After I bought one for the 20" Bergara I had to replace the bolt shroud on my 18" HMR as well. If there is an accuracy difference I can't tell, but I can say this reduces 95% of the play that the bolt has in the closed position. It comes with the shroud and a reduced power spring which may even make the bolt operation lighter and easier. Installation is ten minutes if you take your time and it just makes it feel so much better to open and close. I've had them on since early June without a single issue.

I've been considering one of those babies. I've just been throwing money at other things this summer. About my only gripe with the B14-R is that slop in the bolt when closed. You can hold the stock part tightly with one hand and cycle the bolt with the other hand and it feel soooo much different. I'm assuming that's how the EC bolt shroud makes it feel?

Not to hijack the thread or anything (I'm actually going to be purchasing an EC shroud soon) but did you have any issues getting your factory Bergara mags to feed reliably in the Solus chassis? I can't get mine to feed well at all as the magazine inserts too far and interferes with the bolt or smashes the nose of the round into the breech. My understanding of the adjustable mag catch is that it can allow the mag to seat further into the magwell, but not less. Is that correct? Feel free to PM me
