I have a Contour (URX frame) as well. I would like a set of wood grips. The grips from a Buckmark rifle fit the URX frame, but a no longer available from Browning and I have not been able to find any for sale. I have asked the guys at https://premiumgrips.com/ to make URX wood grips and they put it in their que (way back in the que). So I think the G10's from Lok and Hogue are the options. I have Lok grips on a couple of my other pistols (not rimfires) and I do like them. I think it is a small company and I think they make the grips when you order them. They have great customer service. If you go with the Hogues, be careful because they make G10's for the UFX frame as well. Some online retailers do not clearly state which they are selling. I have nothing against Hogue but if everything else was close enough to equal, I'd support the smaller business (Lok).

I have the Hogue and the Lok. I have the Lok on the gun the others are in a bag. I also had a conversion to use 1911 grips on the URX and it also is in the bag. I preferred all of them to the rubber grips that were factory but I ended up liking the Lok best. I wish Hogue did a Rubber like the Mark series pistols to try on the Mark.

I will.

Have thought about just trying to make a set?

$10 in wood from home depot, a little forethought, a belt sander in a vice, and a lot of sawdust is all it takes. Took me about a week to get these made, working off and on during the work day. The one bit of advice I would give would be to start with the screw hole. Drill the hole and countersink, then trace the grip shape you want around that.

I figured if there was one way to ruin a week of work it would be to get the grips nice and then screw up on that part.

I cheated on the locator pin holes by drilling them oversize and then using JBWeld to actually bed them over the pins.
