Competition Biathlon Stock with CZ 452 Ultra Lux action and BRNO Match Peep Sights

Decided to start a new thread with new pics.

Stock came from Denny very well packaged and indeed nicer than I can capture in pictures. Fit and finish is superb, any after market stock may require a little work to fit the action and this was no exception. The slightest bit of woodwork was needed for a perfect fit very simple task that anyone could accomplish. Trigger guard needed some filing to clear the magazine release, again no skill level required to complete the task.

Besides the action the entire rig is from Denny. BRNO Match Sights, Walnut Box, Single Load BRNO magazine and of course Competition Stock.

The rifle is very well balanced, I honestly wouldnt add and ounce of weight to the front or rear it is just perfect. Standing off hand at 50 yards I can easily hit a 3.5 inch spinner nearly everytime out of 50 shots. The three shots I did miss I blamed more the target than the rifle or myself, the spinner was painted silver and blended into the dirt background.

On the bench it is leaps and bounds over the standard Lux stock. The wider forearm keeps it stable and the cut out on the butt stock sits very well on a bag. My only range test was at 25 yards in windy conditions, not one hole but one enlarged hole with Blazer Ammo. The rifle before the stock change would shoot inside 1 MOA at 50 yards with peeps and Im sure that average will improve with the more stable Competition Stock. The accessory rail is cool to have and I will probably put a bipod on it thats made specifically for this type of system.

Denny as we know is a first class gentlemen and an absolute pleasure to deal with, thanks again sir.

Is this the last CZ I will ever need? Yes, the last one I will want? Nope.

dan you da man that is real nice !!!!

Wish you could see it in person, pics just dont quite do it!

That is unreal... I can't believe how cool it looks.

A few questions if you don't mind. Is the palm area reinforced? If so, how? Does everything seem pretty stable?

I ask as I'm back and forth on an Ultra Lux. Don't need one, but wouldn't mind having one. Keep putting it off as I've got more rifles than I can shoot now. But something like that would be really neat to play with.

I guess I need to make a call and then make a trip..... thanks to you... enabler:p:p

Let me know your impressions of the stability of the stock if you don't mind. If it's going to hold up, I think I found my next purchase.

Kenny
It is reinforced through the bottom of the pistol grip area, exactly how Im not sure but it is VERY stable. Ive shot it off the bags and many many rounds off hand with no flexing. I shoot 10 meter rifles also (Feinwerkbau and Anschutz) with very similiar build and this stock feels like them, nice and sturdy.

I hate to say it but this rig only requires someone that has some shooting experience to do well with it. My business partner is a ok shot off hand and he couldnt miss with this off hand lol. He offered a good chunk of cash for it and I just smiled.

Oh no...Just when I thought I had my CZ urge under control you show this, this, this piece of angelic inspiration; hast thou no mercy? ;)
I really dont. :D

God that nice. I am certianly getting on of those stocks and a set of peep sights.I cant wait. No longer need to buy that anschutz small bore rifle I wanted :)
Ive flirted with the idea of an Anschutz but really I only shoot a few tournaments a year and I just cant justify it. Still want one but can put it on the back burner for now. The peeps alone are worth the price of admission I guarantee you that.

New ultra lux

New to Rimfire Central. Just found it a few days ago looking for info on a 10/22 project. After reading ....FOR HOURS.....I could not stand it and went to Chattanooga Shooters and bought a new CZ today......you are all at fault :D.....love it......Went straight to range after a thorough cleaning and shot a slightly over one inch group with CCI Blazers......could not believe did not have to touch sights......couple of dozen to get used to it and act as foulers....I was floored. Trigger not bad for factory. Expected lots of creep etc. but fair for a factory setup. Will try a Brooks or something soon I am sure. Since I work at The Ridge Shooting as Sales Manager (My play job) this was too easy....... ordered this Morning and by this afternoon was banging away......Any imput on ammo would be appreciated, but honestly don't think I could have shot much better with any ammo(due to aging eyes)....did not like the Aguila HV HP much....but that was all I tried. Really appreciate all the info available here:bthumb:

My policy is that you ask Denny personally what he wants for his products, pricing someone else's wares leads to problems in my experience. Ajakubec (at) aol.com will get you Denny (aka brnomann), a first class gentleman to deal with. He also sells under Zdeno on Gunbroker and I believe may have one of these stocks on their right now.

Thanks Cow. I really need a good name for this rig, its hard to beat Ultra Lux though haha.

I may have finally found the thing that will make me break down and buy a CZ, and an UltraLux at that. I wonder if the front end of that stock could be made as a BR style stock.

That's a beautiful setup.

Gary
Thank you sir. Gary Ive always assumed you owned multiple CZ's lol. The stock does have a accessory rail, Im not sure how that might benefit a BR set-up(?)
I dont know if you looked at my older threads about my Lux but it can shoot half MOA at 50 with Wolf MT and on occasion even with Blazer :0

Bench Rest Attachmebts

Gary C

I Modified a Denny Sport Stock and made Front and Rear Attachments to be used for Bench Rest Activities for my CZ 455. I wanted a Stock that I could use in multiple events. I think I accomplished that with this stock.

In the First Picture, you'll see a t-slot nut in between two stainless hex head screws that fits into the Accessory Rail. The width of the Base is Three Inches.

On the bottom of the Rear Attachment you'll see the attachment screw. On top of the attachment there are two alignment pins that fit into receptacles that are imbedded into the stock for Bench Rest

This Picture shows both BR Attachments installed and the stock is ready for Bench Rest Competition. The Top RIG is my CZ 452 in a Denny Sport Stock.

Here is a shot of the Front BR Attachment Installed. The hole is for the attachment screw.

Finally, a shot of the Rear BR Attachment in place and the back side of the Extended Cheek Piece.

I hope this helps and answers your question.
