Close Parallex AO Scopes

I am looking for a scope with an adjustable objective that can adjust down to 10 yards. It has been a long time but the last time I bought a scope online the specs showed the min and max parallex adjustments possible with the
AO but so far, my searches are not showing this spec on the scopes.

I need a suggestion for scopes with that short range AO adjustment for my 22 and would like a low-cost variable scope somewhere between 3X12 up to 4X16. I want to stay under $300 or less. Anything like that still out there? I know they used to sell some.

I second the Hawke suggestion. I gave up variable power scopes -- they're great when one needs one, but I don't. All my shooting these days is 50 yards and less, so 4X is fine. (I'm also enjoying having to figgit with one less dial (magnification), and having a few ounces less to trapse around the woods is sweet, also.)

I know you're interested in variable power -- I'll get back to that in a minute -- but this post is more about Hawke.

After a LOT of search for a fixed power scope (they're increasingly rare), I bought a Hawke Vantage 4X32mm AO. It's the first adjustable parallax scope I've owned (yes, I lived most of my life under a rock :scared: ), and I gotta say, I love it. For 50 yards and in, I can set the parallax at a hair less than 25 yards and the field of view is crisp and bright for everything from 10 - 50.

Hawke so far has impressed me with their quality (and their customer service when I had a basic question about how to best use the AO feature). And the price was very reasonable, thus in my budget. (They have several lines -- three I think -- and the Vantage series is their less expensive.)

Since you're interested in variable power up to 12 or 16X, here's an example of a Hawke 4-12X AO in their Vantage line. This one has a mildot reticle, but they offer at least one other reticle. They probably offer variable power up to 16X in their others lines.

I have both the Crossfire II and the Athlon Talos. I like them both, but the side focus on the Athlon is easier to reach and adjust for me. Seems like the eye box is more forgiving too.
I bought a cheap Monstrum 3-9x32 AO off Amazon a while back. I'm actually pleased with it other than the illumination which I don't use, causes a faint glow in the tube. I think Monstrum also makes a 4-12x40 AO.
