I’ve got a Boretech Vudoo bore guide coming. What is the best rod and jag combo that won’t flex and scratch the bore, that will feed easily into the chamber and not jam, and will forever live with this rifle? I have read where some people use 17 cal rods, some use 20 cal jags, some prefer nylon coated steel rods, some prefer carbon, some like aluminum jags, etc.

What do the “pros” use to keep it clean and accurate?

Or just use a standard 22 caliber Dewey rimfire rod and call it done?

This is a great video for both cleaning and seasoning your barrel. I had most of what Greg uses in this video and then purchased anything I didn't have so that I use the exact same tools he does with the exception I purchased two 44" cleaning rods.

Certainly not a 'pro'; but I am using a Tipton rod and accessories for the BSA Model 12, Model 13, a Savage 24J; and ,when I finish the restoration, a Remington Mod. 6. Prior to investing in the Tipton et al, I used a Hoppes aluminum cleaning rod for more years than I like to admit (not that the rod was an issue ;) ) (just hate to admit to being 72).

Thought I would share this bit from Eley on cleaning:
ELEY Newsletter: Edition 7

Note: I find the ELEY newsletter (easy to sign up for) to contain quite a bit of useful information, plus of course who's who in the rimfire competitive world.
